Nora is now very into books, which has never really interested her until recently. Here she is with her bible stories book, which I read the story of Jonah from a couple days ago. Well I must have been very tired....because I told her that God told Jonah to go teach the people of Niverville! (For those of you who don't know, Niverville is a town a short distance from here.) Oops!!
And here, Nora has tucked her puppies into "bed", and is reading a night time story to them!

Nora...the model!
Nora is so thrilled with her new outfits I've made! I sew at night when the kids are asleep, and then I hang the finished product on a hanger on the doorknob of the closet upstairs. So when she comes upstairs in the morning, she sees it. She gets soooo excited, and today she said "Wow! It's GORGEOUS!!!", and gave it a hug!! And she always wants me to take her picture. Most of this material was given to me, or it was leftover from another project. So, all together, these 3 outfits cost me less than $2.00!

Under the sea!
I'm trying to make the majority of Nora's clothes for spring and summer. She loves her new "octopus dress" (as she calls it) I made last night!! It was super easy and she looks super cute in it!!

Levi's First Birthday Party!
We had 18 people at our place for Levi's party on Sunday! It was a very fun time! As is my tradition for all birthdays ...I made a chocolate double layer cake, my grandma's recipe, and decorated it. Levi wasn't too interested in the actual opening of the gifts...but he had lots of help! He really loves everything he got and has been playing with everything non-stop!

Vaccination Day
Levi had his one year appointment today.
Length = 29 inches - between 10th and 25th percentile
Weight = 19 and 3/4 pounds - between 5th and 10th percentile
He's just a little guy!! When Nora was a baby, she was always in the high 90's for percentiles!
Levi did really well with the needles, just cried a bit. Nora was a huge helper, she helped the nurse with pretty much everything except actually giving the needles! She was so cute!

Happy Birthday to Levi!
Levi turned one year old today!! AND......he took his first steps today, too!!!!!! Very exciting day! We're going to have his party on Sunday afternoon.
Nora had to get in on Levi's photo shoot...she's wearing the outfit I just finished sewing today for her. Just ignore the runners on her feet...she has a bit of a shoe obsession!

Girls weekend!
Well...since we all forgot our cameras... I don't have any pictures to go with this post, but I'll tell you all about my FUN weekend!! It was a girl's weekend out, for the 4 of us who work at the flower shop. We were treated to fine dining and amazing food at a restaurant in Winnipeg for supper on Saturday, then we went to a movie..."Wild Hogs"...which is hilarious, then we stayed overnight at a great hotel, and had the most amazing brunch in the morning, then we went shopping, and finally had spa treatments...pedicure, facial and massage! We had such a fun time and laughed a lot!!
And...it was my birthday, too!! The kids gave me a cd of christian music, and Curtis gave me a certificate for a manicure and pedicure! So sweet!!
And the wierd thing is that out of the 4 of us at the flower shop.....2 of us have birthdays on March 4th and another lady had her first daughter on that day!! Seriously!!

New hiding spot!
Guess there's more than one way to use a couch!!
Well...for all my loyal blog readers... I know I haven't been updating regularly. We have had to resort to a dial-up connection now... high speed is not available in Mitchell, unless we pay a $250.00 hook-up fee and $50.00 per month!! Outrageous!! So, for now, it's dial-up, which is extremely sloooooow!
We are pretty much setttled into our new place now, and loving it here!
Curtis has been at his new job at Hytek for 3 weeks now, and it's going really good! He's on shift work, rotating between dayshifts and evening/night shifts each week. So, my work schedule has changed a bit, to work around Curtis's schedule, so that we don't have to get sitters. I work about 15 hours a week now, which is actually a nice amount for me.
Well, that's all for now. I'll try to update more often!!
