Thunderstorm

Just thought I'd show the hail size from the storm we had tonight. It had already melted a bit by the time I took the picture, but it was almost golf ball size! (The hail is beside a quarter) As far as we can see, we didn't have anything damaged. Although, the high wind was lifting the kid's playhouse off the ground a bit!

Mitchell Family Fun Day

Today we enjoyed a lot of fun and free activities at the 5th annual Family Fun Day in our town. Activities that we did included: inflatable fire engine slide, an inflatable tiger boucer, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, hay rides, barrel rides, brass band enter- tainment, lunch and flea market. Other activities included: slo pitch tour- nament, pancake breakfast, crokinole tour- nament, bingo, hog roast supper, and more entertainment. We all had a very great time! We got a lot of great pictures, and I couldn't narrow them down more than this. Hopefully you all can recognize us in all of the photos!

The Fort

Today the kids and I built a fort, and they had soooo much fun! Levi was so proud just to stand in it! This was the look on his face the whole time.

It's Party Time!

Today we had a birthday party for Nora, and we all had such a great time! In total, there were 15 of us (5 were kiddos). We had a treasure hunt, a pinata, a princess cake and presents! It was a wonderful time, and we are so blessed to have great friends to share these times with!

Levi is a truck man!

Levi's favorite past-time now is to line up his trucks on the window sill. Guess he likes collecting vehicles just like his Grandpa Bell! (Although I think his grandpa has more)

Birthday dress!

Here's Nora twirling in her new birthday dress! This is my favorite one I've made so far, and she loves it too!

Cooling off!

It was another hot one today, and the kids loved playing in the sprinkler! Hopefully our lawn will become green now, instead of brown!

Long weekend fun!

My mom and dad came for a visit this weekend and we all had lots of fun! And we had an early birthday lunch for Nora on Sunday. (Her birthday is on Friday the 10th) She had so much fun and loves all of her gifts!! She'll get to have another party in a couple weeks ...lucky girl!

Pioneer Days in Steinbach!

This weekend is the annual Pioneer Days! This morning we went to the parade, and the kids loved it and got lots of candy! My favorite part of any parade is the bagpipe band and this year it was actually sponsored by Curtis's workplace (hence the picture). Then we went to the petting zoo in the mall, where the kiddos loved being that close to the animals and touching them. The petting zoo is a good idea for the kids, but I had to work in the afternoon, and the smell was not good at all!
Then they got their faces painted! Levi sat soooo still and he makes the cutest puppy I've ever seen! and Nora was very excited to get it done...until it was her turn, and then she was a little apprehensive. But she was very happy to be a kitty cat! We had a really fun day!!
And to top it all off...we got central air this afternoon!!! Yay! Bring on the heat waves!!
