Sparkles!

The cat on the front of Nora's shirt is made of sequins, so when the light came in the window...we had pink dancing lights on the floor! Nora had great fun running around and stepping in and out of the sunlight! Who needs toys when she has interactive clothing!!

Wascaly Wabbit

Just a little tribute to Elmer Fudd in the title! Nora was soooo excited to see a rabbit just our our dining room window. She was waving furiously and yelling "Hi, bunny!! Hi, bunny!!"

Drum set

The kids never got to bang pots and pans in the apartment (an obvious noise level issue), so they totally enjoyed this experience!!

The upstairs

I've been requested for pictures, so here's the upstairs. It's a split, so the living room, dining room, kitchen, half bathroom and pantry are upstairs. Bedrooms and full bathroom are on the lower level.

We moved on the coldest day of the year!!!

A huge "Thank you!!" to everyone who helped us move in the frigid weather!!! We couldn't have done it without you all. We are soooooo appreciative for our movers: Paul, Kyle, Uncle Rod, Charlotte and Anthony, and for our babysitters: Wendy and Jessica, and for our cleaners: Charlotte and Anthony!!!!! Words cannot express how grateful we are to have such amazing friends, who would move us in Antarctic temperatures!!!
I will post pictures soon, when we get a little more settled in. We've got a very good start on the unpacking, and it really feels like home!

The move

Just thought I'd write a few details about the move, for all who are wondering. We are going to rent a 3 bedroom duplex in Mitchell, a bedroom community of Steinbach. The building is about 6 years old, attached garage, deck and yard. It is an open concept upstairs with the living room, dining room and kitchen, also a pantry and half bathroom. Downstairs are the bedrooms, full bathroom, laundry room and linen closet. It's beautiful!! It's almost like it was custom made just for us!! We should get the keys Thursday, we'll take a some stuff Saturday, but the big moving day will be Sunday after church. We're so excited to have more space, a yard, and our own laundry room!! We had really been thinking we needed to just buy something to get us out of the apartment, but we're just not ready to buy yet. So this is the best alternative, and the cost won't be much more than what we have now. You know....3 weeks ago, the lady who lives below us came up to complain about the noise...from Nora jumping. We've tried very hard to be considerate of our neighbors, we know kids make noise, and we make sure that all is quiet at night, and that noise is a minimum during the day. But, kids have a lot of energy, and sometimes they jump and sometimes they fall, and I know it's loud, we've lived under a suite with kids before. So, at first, we were a little peeved at this lady, but it motivated Curtis to look online that evening for a different place. We had been wanting to move for a while, but everything we found was just unaffordable. He saw the ad for this duplex, called and set up a time to view it. Since we were the first ones to look at it, we got it, even though there were other people interested. I just think...if that lady hadn't complained, we would not have been so motivated to look that evening. Well, that's my long-winded way of saying...God works in mysterious ways.
