Daisies and Denim

Another outfit I just finished for Nora. I had a bit of material leftover from her birthday dress last year, so I thought this would be a cute use for it!

Levi wanted to have a picture taken just like Nora, and put his hands in his "pockets" too!! LOL! It's a blurry picture, 'cause I was laughing!

I also made splash pants for both kids, but they're not very exciting, so I didn't take a picture.

Spring dress

This is the first dress in Nora's "2008 Spring/Summer Collection". She loves to wear dresses every day, so this one is a casual dress, thus I didn't make it ruffly like I usually would!
When she saw it this morning, she opened her mouth wide, put both hands on her mouth and took a deep breath in. She exclaimed "Thank you Mommy!!!!....Is it twirly?!" Ha, ha! My little girly-girl! I made the mistake once of getting her a dress that is not "twirly", and it hangs in her closet day after day...she will not wear it! I even really tried to make her wear it one day, but she just cried because she "wasn't a princess"! So she went and found herself a different dress to wear.

Warm day!

Finally, a beautiful day to be outside! Levi liked to put his face in the snow and eat it!

Levi's 2nd birthday!

Levi turned 2 years old on Thursday, and we had his party on Saturday. Charlotte, Stacy and Grant came out from the city and spent the day with us.
Levi loved his "Moo" cake (as he called it), but he got freaked out by the candles and singing of Happy Birthday! He had lots of fun opening his gifts and he loves everything he got!

30!

On Sunday, Wendy hosted a 30th birthday party for me! We played lots of games, laughed and ate lots of great food and cake! Thanks soooo much Wendy for your hospitality and for the great food!




















































After the party at Wendy's, we came back to our place along with Charlotte, Stacy and Grant. We played a couple balloon games and laughed so hard we thought our sides would split! And during one of the games my chair tipped over! We actually caught the moment on video! It was a great day and now I don't feel so bad about being 30!

Our Little Rocker!

Nora and Levi got to spend some gift money today, and this purple guitar was what Nora wanted. She has been playing it pretty much non-stop since we got home! We tried showing her the right way to hold it, but she wants to do it her own way.

Levi picked out a semi truck that carries a car on it's flatbed.

New Dress Coat

This is the dress coat I just finished making for Nora. She absolutely loves it! She likes that it is a "twirly" coat just like a dress. The coat is fully lined with the same fleece as the cuffs. I'm very happy with how it turned out and the weather hopefully will cooperate so that she can wear it on Sunday!
