Levi singing

, Levi loves to sing this song...probably because each time we sing it through we get louder! I don't know the title of it, but it goes "I'm gonna sing, sing, sing! I'm gonna shout, shout, shout! I'm gonna sing, I'm gonna shout! Praise the Lord! When the gates are open wide, I'll be sitting at Jesus' side. I'm gonna sing, I'm gonna shout! Praise the Lord!"

This was the picture in the Steinbach newspaper about the Mitchell Family Fun Day.
The caption reads "This little boy was a little sheepish in the petting zoo at Fun Day this past weekend. The animals were not shy at all though and this sheep even gave the boy a kiss to let him know everything would be all right."

Family Fun Day!

Saturday was the Annual Mitchell Family Fun Day! The weather did not cooperate for this event, being extremely windy and rainy. At least the rain held off until the afternoon!



Nora and I decorated her bike for the bike decorating contest and bike parade. Of course she chose to make a purple butterfly! Riding her bike in the parade was Nora's favorite part of the whole day! She even won 3rd prize for her bike decorations! I know she doesn't look very excited in the picture with her prize, but she really was! It was just so crazy windy!

The kids also really enjoyed the petting zoo and the inflatable bouncers!

They also got their faces painted...Levi's turned out cute! Nora's was interesting...the mother of the girl who painted Nora's face was not very impressed. Apparently it's supposed to be a dalmatian. Oh well! It's washable!

Summer fun with grandparents!

We had a really great time with Curtis's folks here for a few days! The weather was very nice the first couple of days and we all enjoyed playing badminton, the guys went golfing and the kids played in the sprinkler!

The kids also really enjoy their new swing-set that grandma and grandpa got for them!

A wedding.....

Work was very busy this last week, so Jessica came over to watch the kids a few days. She is so great and has so much fun with the kids! Nora and Levi love her so much...and Levi cries everytime she leaves!
Jessica planned a "wedding" that Nora and Levi were invited to attend as the wedding party! She brought dress-up clothes, made an invitation, set up a recption with decorations and had flowers for them! She took lots of great pictures! Thanks so much Jessica!

Weekend Fun!

It has taken me a while to get new pictures added because this week has been very busy at work with Graduations and 3 weddings!!

Last Sunday, Charlotte, Stacy and Grant came out to our place! We went swimming at the Steinbach pool, then came home for badminton, and other games, and finished up the evening with Guitar Hero! We all had so much fun!
