My most recent project has been "I Spy Bags". Maggie had one at Christmas that they got at a craft sale in Nipawin and I thought they were so neat that I had to try it myself. Basically, it's a bean bag with a window. Small novelty items are hidden among the pellets, and there's a list of items to find. Over Christmas, I think everyone of us took our turn with the "I Spy Bag" and couldn't put it down until we found everything on the list. I made these ones for Nora, so I used a picture card instead of a written list (since she doesn't read yet). I'm going to make them for craft sales. I think this is such a cute idea and fun to make!

Christmas 2007!!
We had a great Christmas with Curtis's family and my family here! We made snowflakes, played many games, opened gifts and stockings and ate way too much food! The food overconsumption was evident in one of Nora's comments...she had just entered the room when I was eating something and she shouted, "Mommy!!! Are you eating again?" It was quite hilarious!
It's taken me a while to post these pictures because there are soooo many to choose from! That's why the pictures are much smaller this time! (Just click on a picture for a larger view)
Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and we wish you a Happy New Year!

Painting on paper was just too boring, I guess....

My gift
The other day, I was wrapping some Christmas presents, and Nora wanted to have the bag of bows to "wrap mommy's present". She took them to her room and came out exclaiming "Mommy! I'm your present!"

O' Christmas Tree...O' Christmas Tree
I just have to laugh at our "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree! Maybe we'll get a new one for next year. But it's actually nice to have a tree small enough to be put up out of reach!
The kids each got to pick something new for the tree this year...Nora picked the purple garland (her favorite color) and Levi picked the Nutcracker ornament he's holding in the top picture.
They enjoyed putting all the ornaments on the tree, but mostly they enjoyed the little singing Christmas tree that I got on clearance last year after Christmas. He dances and sings "O' Christmas Tree". (I hope the batteries wear out soon!! LOL!)
